This ensures compliance with Australian safety standards while still incorporating the aesthetic appeal of glass in the balustrade’s design. If the balcony height is greater than one metre off the ground level, the balustrade will need to be framed and supported by a handrail structure that is rated for loads from day-to-day use and wind.
